Sometimes messing around in Illustrator sparks ideas for something bigger/better. In this case, I was ideating ways to portray all the work that the Chicago team had done over the past year. Apart from a few of the company's branded icons, I designed the rest of this post in Illustrator with the goal of keeping it simple, engaging, and still on brand.
